About us

Sandbach Striders was born back in 2003. Since the early days, membership has grown with a firm ethos of the club being not just about running but social activities as well. The club is affiliated to UK AAA and has its own qualified coaches. Many other special events take place on various nights too.

The club meets on Wednesdays at 18:30 and Sundays at 09:00 at Elworth Cricket Club.

Whilst many members compete in races from 5k to Marathons, the emphasis remains purely on keeping people motivated and having fun. Why not scan through our race reports to see what we’ve been up to? Having read them, you’re sure to see why Sandbach Striders has developed the motto of being

"No Ordinary Running Club!"

Crewe Déjà vu 3 is nearly upon us!

The Crewe Déjà vu 3 is nearly upon us!

We currently have a 15 members of Sandbach Striders on the start list and are also expecting a full contingent of other runners. Some familiar faces, some new, hopefully by the end of the day new running friends.


Entrants should all have received their race day information booklet via email by now - if not then please check your bulk folder or download from here.

It should answer any questions that you may have, but if not then please do drop us an email or post the question on our Facebook group or Twitter.

An approximate agenda for the day is:

08:00 Setting up
09:00 Runners start to arrive
10:00 Race Starts
13:00 Approximate time of winner
13:30 - 15:30 The time when the majority of runners will finish
16:00 Official cut off time.
