Lou Hayward, Martin Coleman and Mat Simister made the long journey north up the M6 to the scenic splendour of Morecambe Bay in order to take on the Cross Bay Challenge. Historically the quickest route from Cumbria to Lancashire at low tide, the bay crossing dates back to the 13th century when monks from the local abbeys served as guides to travellers. Whilst the monks have now been replaced by highly-experienced guides equipped with a host of navigation and safety equipment, the experience of being out on the sands remains as breathtakingly beautiful as ever.

Martin was first Strider home in 1:51:01, Mat followed closely behind in 1:57:45 and Lou in 2:33:29
