About us

Sandbach Striders was born back in 2003. Since the early days, membership has grown with a firm ethos of the club being not just about running but social activities as well. The club is affiliated to UK AAA and has its own qualified coaches. Many other special events take place on various nights too.

The club meets on Wednesdays at 18:30 and Sundays at 09:00 at Elworth Cricket Club.

Whilst many members compete in races from 5k to Marathons, the emphasis remains purely on keeping people motivated and having fun. Why not scan through our race reports to see what we’ve been up to? Having read them, you’re sure to see why Sandbach Striders has developed the motto of being

London Monopoly Run v2.0 - Saturday 11/04/2015!

Back by popular demand - the London Monopoly Run will take place again on Saturday 11th April 2015.

Starting at 11am at the Seymour Leisure Centre, Seymour Place, London W1H 5TJ ( ahort walk from Euston Station), the route is a 15.7 mile trip around every single location of the traditional British Monopoly board!


 The route is a spectacularly scenic journey around London, taking in many of the iconic buildings and locations. Be prepared to see London as you've never seen it before!

  • The Seymour Leisure Centre have kindly allowed us to use their lockers and showers (a small charge is made for these.)
  • A small charge of £5 per runner is made for a special one-off memento!
  • The run will be at a very gentle pace, with lots of time for photos opportunities etc.
  • Please do bring a camera along as there will be a photo competition en route! (with prizes!)
